4. Călătorie

Where is, how much, a ticket — întrebările de drum.

Întrebările încep cu un cuvânt scurt: where unde, when când, how cum, who cine, what ce, why de ce, how much cât (preț sau cantitate), how many câți. Where is the station? How much is it? What time is it?

Drum: ticket, train, bus, station, airport, hotel, map. A ticket to Bucharest, please. Direcții: left, right, straight on (sau straight ahead), near, far.

Dacă nu ții pasul: I don't understand. Slowly, please. Can you repeat that? Do you speak English? — și invers, dacă ești tu cel întrebat despre română. I speak a little English e o frază onestă.

• where is…? Unde este…?
• how much is it? Cât costă?
• what time is it? Cât e ceasul?
• a ticket to… Un bilet la…
• left / right Stânga / dreapta.
• straight on Drept înainte.
• I don't understand Nu înțeleg.
• slowly, please Mai încet, vă rog.
• can you repeat that? Puteți repeta?
• do you speak English? Vorbiți engleză?
