6. Travel and asking
Tickets, the station, and the questions that get you there.
Question words sit at the front. Unde where, când when, cum how, cine who, ce what, de ce why, cât how much. Cât costă? is the price question. La ce oră? is at what time. Cât e ceasul? is what time is it.
Travel nouns: bilet ticket, gară station, tren train, autobuz bus, aeroport airport, hotel hotel. Un bilet la București, vă rog is a full counter sentence. Vorbiți engleză? if you need to switch. Vorbesc puțin românește is honest and usually welcome.
If you do not follow: nu înțeleg, then mai încet, vă rog and puteți repeta? Help is ajutor. The shout takes the same word.
- cât costă? How much does it cost?
- unde e gara? Where is the station?
- un bilet A ticket.
